our Story
Circles Café & Bakery was founded in 2014 in San Marcos La Laguna by Rebecca, who envisioned creating a welcoming space where people could feel at home while experiencing Lake Atitlán. Originally a café and hostel, Circles shifted its focus entirely to baking in 2018, expanding into high-quality European-style bread and pastries.
In 2022, German chef Philip joined as a business partner, helping elevate production and quality.
Today, Circles has grown to nearly 40 team members and multiple locations, including Panajachel and Tzununa.
Every day, the team starts baking before dawn, preparing fresh sourdough, baguettes, croissants, and pastries by hand, paired with locally roasted coffee.
More than a bakery, Circles is a community space where locals and travelers can connect, relax, and enjoy food made with care.
